| Pushing the
Boundaries: Live
from the |
|
Newport Folk Festival 2008 |
 |
In
this two-hour special, NPR Music takes listeners
to the historic Newport Folk Festival, which
this year leaves behind traditional folk music
in favor of performances by some of today's
best-known folk-rock, alt-country, and even
reggae artists. Each will perform acoustic sets
over the course of two days at Fort Adams State
Park in Newport, Rhode Island. All Songs
Considered host Bob Boilen and WFUV host
Rita Houston will have the highlights in a
broadcast from the festival grounds. An NPR
Music co-production with WFUV.
